We spoke to Auguste muse @lisa_desanctis about her renovation projects and how she takes the thought out of constructing her style each day. With Lisa's (now ditched) no sleeveless clothing rule we are absolutely loving seeing Lisa 'free the arms' - and doesn't she look absolutely divine doing so!
What helped you discover your personal style?
For me it was about discovering what I really loved on my body shape and what I felt confident in. From there I was able to build and come up with my own style. Wearing clothes is about feeling your best, so honing in on that feeling is so important when building a wardrobe. I also love Pinterest for putting together outfits and getting inspired. Also once I find a brand that I know I love, and fits me well, I stick with them!
Does your passion for renovation and interior design influence how you style your outfits?
Absolutely, as I do when interior styling or renovating I like to mix my wardrobe with both high end pieces as well as budget and affordable ones. Fashion is all about combining textures, colours and patterns - interior styling is exactly the same! Both avenues are a way of expressing yourself so it makes sense that they align. When it comes to fashion I like classic shapes and silhouettes, and the same goes for my interior styling.
What are your top tips for dressing cute in a time crunch?
I like to keep the pieces I wear most often at the front of my wardrobe, that way if I am super timepoor (which being a mum of a one year old and a two year old I usually am) I don't have to rummage through looking for my go-to pieces. I also love having a fashion uniform that I know will never let me down so I could put it on with my eyes closed and know it will look cute. For me that's a pair of sneaks, jeans. an oversized tee and a blazer. It's foolproof & I can chase after toddlers whilst looking chic.
