Just like family
Auguste began in Indonesia and will forever remain there. The production team is more than just a factory, it is a family that supported the growth of Auguste to make it what it is today. Lia and Wayan always greet us with open arms; smiling, warm and grateful for the continued work that allows their employees to support their families. To date, we do not have an accreditation on this factory because Ebony has spent the best part of 12 years working alongside Lia and Wayan. This year we will seek out that accreditation to give our customers more than just our word.
Across it all
Our move to China was initiated due to a desire to work with a diverse range of fabrics that weren’t available in Indonesia. Here we can source cottons, textured rayons, cupros and many more sustainable options which we are currently exploring. Our largest factory in China is made up of over 75% women, many of which are not only seamstresses, but supervisors and managers as well. The owner strongly supports family and flexibility, and when we requested an audit they were more than willing. The first annual audit was returned to us by SEDEX with glowing results.
All about the details
We always believe in using factories who have unique strengths because we know you see this in the end product. Based just outside of Guangzhou, just a hop, skip and a train from the fabric market, this factory is passionate about detail. That’s why they handle all of our plains, overalls, ramie dresses and cotton linens. We don’t trust anyone else to finish garments just like they do. They have carried a strong SEDEX accreditation for many years now, and continue to blow us away with their commitment to staff training.
